Welcome to our Newsletter #12 for 2022

Student Council - Scooter Track & Library

Thanks to the Student Council who have prepared an article for todays newsletter.  Check out their video which covers most of the scooter rules.  They are currently working on a presentation to the Board of Trustees with a request for the school to purchase a number of scooters for students to use if they do not have their own.

Another project for the Council is developing the Library environment.  We have a budget and they will be deciding on what needs to be purchased to make the environment an exciting one for everyone.

Mask Wearing

From Monday 22 August we will be moving to optional mask wearing, with child sized masks still being available in the classrooms for children.  We will still require parents to wear a mask when coming onto the school site (masks are available at the office).  Staff will be wearing a mask when talking with parents as they meet and greet at drop off and pick up times.

Teacher Only Day - School closed

Staff will be onsite for First Aid training on Monday 29 August.

This means the school will be closed on Monday 29 August.

Current Learning

Each of the Learning Spaces are underway with their Inquiry learning ready for some reporting at the end of the term.  Pukeko and Matuku will focus on on skills and engagement in the HEART Zones they have running, while the other hubs will focus on the inquiry process.  Because the reporting comments will be written prior to the Inquiry being completed, it will be a review of where they are at, their engagement and collaborative skill development.

Kind regards
