New Scooter Track!

Hi Wigram-

We have something new around the school… if you didn't notice… It is our great scooter track!

We love our new scooter track and it was fun watching people and making a video about the rules and photos/videos of the kids!

Luckily there haven't been many accidents and we think that's because everyone has been following the rules! We tried to fit in as many rules as we could on the video, but here are the ones we missed;

1. Follow the directions of the arrows on the track. (no arrows yet)

2. Keep both hands on scooter handlebars at all times

3. Stay on the left when scooting

4. Always be in control of your scooter/skateboard.

Here are some thoughts about the scooter track.

Kylie’s thoughts from Kererū: “I like learning to ride my scooter.”

Dwayne from Ruru: “The scooter track is epic because we can scooter freely with our classmates and we don’t need to worry about the balls hitting the track.”

Jayden from Pūkeko: “I like the wood bit at the end because it helps me slow down.”

Somya from Kererū: “I really enjoy the sharp turns.”
