Cultural Celebration 2021

Every year at Wigram Primary School, we love to recognise and celebrate all the wonderful cultures that help make our school special.

On Thursday 20 May we will join together for a special assembly and flag ceremony in our Hall, followed by a shared lunch.  The Assembly will begin at 11:30am.

  • We would like to ask everyone to please bring or send a plate of special food for lunch that represents your culture or country (disposable or unbreakable- named plates are recommended for the food)

  • No Uniform (mufti) - children are encouraged to wear traditional costume or dress up in something to represent their country or culture

  • Families are invited to attend the assembly, and join us for lunch

  • Lunch will be held in House designated learning spaces so siblings are all in one space together.  We will provide eating plates and spoons for the lunch.

  • In the afternoon, the children will take part in whole school discovery activities with a cultural focus and there will be an opportunity to take a photo with your flag and child/children

  • The assembly will start promptly at 11:30 am.
