Enviro Kids

What kinds of awesome events will be taking place at Envirokids in the month of DECEMBER? Check it out! 
All of our events are FREE and the majority of our events we run as pop-in sessions, so you can come whenever suits you between 10AM - 1PM on a Saturday.

Richmond Community Garden has been kind enough to supply us with heaps of seeds to use in the seed bombs that we will be making.
In addition to this, we will be imprinting some leaves into clay to make pendants/charms.
Leaf identification can also be fun, so try your best to identify the different leaves we will have available.

Bring your tamariki and let them explore the world of e-waste in an interactive, informative, and eco-conscious way. This is an excellent opportunity to instill the values of responsible e-waste management and environmental stewardship at an early age.

Homestays for Hornby High students

Hornby Highschool is looking for fammilies to become homestay caregiveers for our international students.  We have new students joining us in 2024 from Japan and Thailand.
We need families for a few weeks, one term and full year periods. You must be able to communicate in English. Families are reimbursed $325.00 per week. Hosting a student is a wonderful way to connect you and your family with another culture.
If you are interested in becoming a homestay caregiver, email homestay@hornby.school.nz and we will send you further information.

GirlGuiding NZ Halswell and Cracroft Pippin

Do you have a desire to give back to the community and help build happy, confident, and resilient young women? Then becoming a leader in GirlGuiding could be for you. Our Leaders come from various places, ages, and backgrounds. No previous Guiding experience is needed; many of our leaders have never been involved before.
Our units (girls aged 5-6, 7-9½ & 9-12½) need volunteer adult leaders to join them today!
