Canterbury Primary School Athletics Results

On Wednesday 30th November we had four boys represent Wigram Primary at the Canterbury Schools Athletics Competition.

 They all showed their Wigram HEART by giving their events their best and came out with some amazing results.

Noah  (Year 5 boys) competed in high jump. He jumped 1.10m and placed 16th.

Isaac  (Year 5 boys) competed in long jump, discuss and 60m sprint. At long jump he jumped 4.34m and placed 2nd. At discus he threw 26.32 and placed 4th. He ran the 60m sprint in 9.29 seconds and placed 5th in the final and 2nd in the heat.

Nixon  (Year 6 boys) competed in shot put. He threw 8.71m and placed 9th.

Alex  (Year 6 boys) competed in the 1000m. He ran it in 3.34.82 minutes and placed 11th.

We are very proud of all of the boys for their accomplishments as well as the dedication and training that goes in to competing at the Canterbury level. Ka pai, boys!
