Swimming still continues with our Year 4-6 students going this week and next.

Board of Trustees Election

Ballot papers can be returned by post or put into the sealed ballot box in the school office.

Tummy Bugs (Update)

There seems to be a tummy bug going around at the moment.  Please talk to your children about good hand hygiene following a visit to the toilet and before eating food.

If your child is feeling unwell they do need to stay at home.  Children returning to school need to be 48 hours free from vomiting, or other symptoms.

We have a chart in the school office regarding many infections children may get, so check with us if you are unsure how long your child should stay home

Teacher Paid Union Meetings

This week teachers have paid union meetings to discuss aspects they feel strongly about for their next Collective Agreement claims.  Some schools are closing for a half day for these meetings to happen, but we will not be closing.  As it is a non voting meeting we are sending some representatives from the staff to gather information to report back to other union members.

International Principals' Conference

I am privileged to be able to attend the International Principals' Conference in Banff, Canada, at the start of the April school holidays.  I will be away from 10 April and back in time for the start of the second term. It will be a very exciting conference and will be great to understand how schools manage education in other parts of the world.  There are about 80 New Zealand principals attending.
