LATEST NEWS AND VIEWS : 24 November 2022

Welcome to our Newsletter #24 for 2022

What a great spell of weather, but oh so changeable.  We are all hoping the fine weather continues for the Cluster Kapahaka Festival tonight.  Should the event be postponed there will be a message go out on Hero, our school Facebook page and Skoolloop.    If you have ordered a Hangi meal it will still be able to be picked up from South Hornby School at 6pm.

Fingers crossed the weather gods are looking after us and a cancellation will not happen.

Junior School Athletics

What a wonderful sunny morning for outside activities.  The children had a great time, and it was amazing to see so many parents, caregivers, and grandparents here to celebrate with them.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did.

Keep Christchurch Beautiful - School Awards

We have been notified that we have won some awards in this event.  In the next Newsletter we will showcase the awards.

Welcome Back

Toroa are very please to welcome back Mrs Mariska Putter to the classroom.  One less reliever to organise every day.  The children were very pleased to see her back (and the staff too).

End of Year Celebration

We are just waiting for confirmation on a fun outing to celebrate our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) for 2022.  We will let you know once we have final confirmation.  This event will be on Wednesday 14 Dec for Year 1 & 2, with Thursday 15 Dec for Year 3-6.

More details to come.

Kind regards
