School Arrival and Pick Ups

Consistent lateness is really disruptive for both students and classrooms. Picking up prior to 3pm is also a very disruptive to the end of day routine.

Our school programme begins at 8:55am.  Students are quickly signed in and the programme is begun.  Being late is very disruptive to the late student, and to the class.  It takes a good 5 mins to get unpacked and organised for the day.  Children need to arrive at school with enough time to unpack their bag and socialise with a teacher and or other students.  This should be at least 10 - 15 mins.  Lateness is generally not a student problem, but a home routine issue getting ready for school and out the door with enough time for getting settled at school before the bell.

All children arriving later than 8:55am must sign in at the school office.  This process takes time and the amount of time can vary depending on the number of students arriving late.

We ask that parents/caregivers do not pick students up early at the end of the day either unless it is absolutely necessary.  This is also a disruption to the end of day routine.  Please wait patiently in proximity of the classroom for the end of day bell at 3pm and children will be released.
