What have Kōtuku been doing in Term 2?

Kōtuku have been busy doing a lot of new learning around the Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Curriculum.

All our learners selected an area that they wanted to work on. The options were Tangata Whenua (the people of the land), Naming Places, and Migration stories.Through the use of myths, drama, maps, photos, artefacts, games and kahoots they have been developing their knowledge.

New Zealand histories are shaped by the relationships and connections between people and across boundaries. They are travelling back in time to when the first Māori people arrived in Aotearoa. What stories do people tell about where they came from and how they got here? What did they bring with them?

All learners are excited about sharing this new learning through a Digital Learning Object later in the term.
