Student Summit

Each year, schools from within the Uru Mānuka cluster take part in a Student Summit.

This is where students teach other students about a range of different skills they can incorporate in their learning.

This year, the Student Summit was held at South Hornby Primary. We had six presenters and another 18 students from Years 4-6 participating. Our presenters chose to share three digital tools that are often used in the Senior hubs.

Shreya and Hannah presented a toolkit on using Canva video to create different types of videos.

Isaac and Emanuel presented a tookit on creating an animation using Google Slides.

Shanaya and Jamilah presented a toolkit on Pixton, an online comic strip creator.

All students had a fantastic time, with Abby even winning some headphones for blogging what she learnt at each of the three toolkits she attended!

As a treat, the six presenters were treated to a well-deserved milkshake!
