September Holiday Camps

The Canterbury Rams & Mainland Pouākai Basketball Camp registrations for the September School holidays have now been released.
Our camps are the perfect opportunity for basketball enthusiast to learn training techniques from our Canterbury Rams and Mainland Pouākai professional players. The camps are fun, energetic and will support players with their development for their school & club seasons.

Halswell Toy Library

Toy hire for infants and children. Toys range from construction, musical, role playing, imaginative, puzzles, outdoor and more. Located at Oaklands School, Halswell. Open Saturday 9am-12 noon and Wednesday 7pm - 8pm. See the flyer for more information

Art Classes for Children

Pooh Bear Live - Christchurch Shows - September

We are excited for this fun, magical adventure through the Hundred Acre Wood to the North Pole! We are bringing classic Winnie the Pooh and all his friends to life and on stage in a show suitable for all ages!

Our Christchurch shows will be running for 4 days 22nd-25th September 11am, 3pm and 7pm at the James Hay Theatre (Town Hall).

We will also have 1 day of shows in Ashburton on the 9th of September.Step into the pages of AA Milne's original creation. Featuring MAGIC, music, dancing, humour, live audience interaction, and special effects to entertain and enthrall audiences and fans of all ages.

GirlGuiding NZ Halswell and Cracroft Pippin

Do you have a desire to give back to the community and help build happy, confident, and resilient young women? Then becoming a leader in GirlGuiding could be for you. Our Leaders come from various places, ages, and backgrounds. No previous Guiding experience is needed; many of our leaders have never been involved before.
Our units (girls aged 5-6, 7-9½ & 9-12½) need volunteer adult leaders to join them today!

Christchurch Avon Athletics Club – Junior Section

We are a well organised, friendly Junior Athletics Club – catering for children of all abilities in the 5-14yr age
groups.
Club nights are Wednesdays 5pm -6.45pm (5/6yrs finish by 6.30pm) – at Burnside High School.
First Club night for the 2023/2024 season is Wednesday 11th October.
Saturday Inter-Club Competition at Nga Puna Wai all-weather track is available and top-quality coaching is
provided.

REGISTRATION DAY – FOR ALL NEW MEMBERS:
DATE: Monday 9th October
TIME: 5.00-6.30pm
PLACE: Christchurch Avon Club Rooms – Burnside High School
(access from Greers Rd beside tennis courts)
FEES: $110 per child ($90 for the 2nd and subsequent children in the family)
$65 for children in the Kiwisport Group – 5/6 yrs
Fees are payable following registration by internet banking
Note - Until payment has been received, the child’s registration is incomplete.
Our very popular Junior club fills up quickly – so it is recommended that all new members attend registration night
on Monday 9th October to secure a place.

Pioneers of Canterbury Intro Marching Team
