Key Competencies

The New Zealand School Curriculum identifies five key competencies that play a very important part in your child's education. They are ...

* Thinking

* Using language, symbols and texts

* Managing self

* Relating to others

* Participating and contributing

People use these competencies to live, learn, work and contribute as active members of their communities. These five competencies are key to learning in every learning area.

As a school, we are intentional about supporting our students to develop these five competencies in a range of contexts.

The following link provides you with more details about the five competencies if you would like some additional information: https://nzcurriculum.tki.org.nz/The-New-Zealand-Curriculum#collapsible7
