The Senior Hubs have learnt how powerful persuasive writing can be!
Last term, some students in Years 5 and 6 wrote letters to Mrs Walkinshaw about an identified need in the Library. As the Library was used as a learning space for Maths and Spelling, the students in the Maths group discussed the pros and cons of working there. A common theme was the discomfort at having to sit and work on the floor during those times. They then decided to write to persuade Mrs Walkinshaw to provide furniture for them (and others) to use in the Library. On Tuesday was the great reveal - the students were provided with tables and chairs to use! They experienced first-hand, the power of persuasion! Here are some examples of their writing:
