During the afternoon Kōtuku have been learning skills in Music, Te Reo Māori and Art. We are only on our first rotation and everyone is having loads of fun.

Art:

We have taken a creative approach to Art this term, which includes using a range of different skills such as: using water colours, drawing different shapes and lines, and cutting and pasting. One of our favourite art activities we have done is making jelly fish. We cut out the outline of our jellyfish, coloured it in, then we use our fine motor skills to cut out circles to make jellyfish tentacles.

Te Reo Māori:

This term we are learning how to greet people in Te Reo, Ask people how they are feeling and learn how to name different objects in the class. Ask your child if they can share this with you so that you can speak Te Reo at home.
