Pūkeko Home Learning

The children from Pūkeko have been doing lots of fun and creative learning in their bubbles.

The Pūkeko teachers have been so impressed with all the wonderful learning happening at home. On Monday we had our first class Google Meet and it was so lovely to hear about what everyone has been up to. Lots of art, walking, biking, scavenger hunts, science experiments, games, writing, reading, baking, creating and building.

On Monday Mrs Loye read a story called 'The Dot' and challenged the Pūkeko children to create their own special dot artwork. Today at our second Google Meet we got to see some of the wonderful dots the children had made. Pūkeko was clever at using felts, crayons, glitter, wool, paper, cardboard, petals, gems, pom poms, glue and paint to create lots of unique dot creations.

Today Ms Grimwood and her daughter Eva read us a cool story called 'What the Ladybird Heard'. She showed the Pūkeko children how they could make a ladybird or a prize ribbon to share at our next meeting tomorrow. We can't wait to see what our clever tamariki make!

Please check out some of the amazing art and dots we have made and check the Pūkeko Blog if you want to see more of what we have been doing!
