Ferry to Historic Treasure Hunt

Departs12:55pm from Port Chalmers or 1:15pm from Portobello on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October. Visit Quarantine Island /Kamau Taurua on the Port to Port ferry for a family historic treasure hunt over the weekend. Explore this historic island quarantine facility that was used from 1870-1924 to keep Dunedin residents safe from contagious diseases from overseas. At the playground look for treasure on this historic island!

Walk around the island for stunning views and see how the island today is being replanted into native forest.

Children will receive a treasure and history map on arrival and treats at the conclusion.

Price:  Adults $24/ Children$15 per person (includes map, treats, return ferry.)

Duration:  approx 2.5 Hours
