Planetarium Show - Sea Lions: Life by a Whisker

Otago Museum’s Perpetual Guardian Planetarium —

8 –10 October at 3.30, Planetarium. Dive into the world of a rare sea lion pup – and meet the people that are trying to save her species. Narrated by Sam Neill - don’t miss out on this special one weekend only offer. All tickets are on offer at Kids price of $7 for Wild Dunedin Spring Edition.

Between a jagged cliff face and a roaring ocean, lives a colony of Australian sea lions. In an environment equally harsh as it is beautiful, be immersed in a classic coming-of-age tale guided by one of our ocean’s most unique, intelligent, and playful animals. Take an intimate journey inside the colony where a life of great intimacy, tenderness, and clumsiness must often give way to a life of great sacrifice and bravery.

Join our Science Communicators to explore the breath-taking world of the Australian sea lion. Learn about their similarities and differences to our own local sea lion species, and why all ocean life needs protecting.

Restricted to ages 3 and up. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the show and bring your online confirmation to the Museum Shop to receive your tickets; no late admission.
