At the Royal Albatross Centre on Sunday 22 April at 4.30pm there's a free talk on tracking Pukekura Blue Penguins ... this talk is followed by a family discounted regular tour at Pilots Beach from 6pm.
Find out about how to track a Blue Penguin and how microchips are going to help the management of the population at Pilots Beach. As part of the Otago Participatory Science Platform there will be opportunities for the community, including schools, to be involved so come and find out more.
The talk / discussion at the Royal Albatross Centre will be followed with an opportunity to join the Blue Penguin Tour at Pilot’s Beach at a reduced price.
Note the free talk will be at the Royal Albatross Centre at 4.30–5.15pm
The little blue penguin Pukekura regular tour starts at 6pm and finishes at around 7.15pm and departs from the Royal Albatross Centre. Wear warm clothing for tour.
