Leith River Expo-dition 🏅

Wild Dunedin —

Wild Dunedin on Saturday 27 April from 12-3pm is taking you on a guided walking expo on a section of the 'Love Your Leith River Walk'. Get to know our city's river with our guides stopping at activity stations along the Leith, through the Botanic Garden and ending at Woodhaugh Gardens. Guided tours are starting under the Clyde Street bridge from 12-1pm. You are welcome to collect a map and be your own guide in this walking expo.

We will put the map online so you can opt to visit one or two of the stations or experience the walk with guides. 

Highlights include:

Aquavan Touch Tank at the University of Otago Campus

Litta Traps

Riverside Critters with AAPES (Otago University Student Society)

Comfort stop and feed the ducks at Dunedin Botanic Garden

Forest and Bird Plant identification and what to plant by your waterway at Woodhaugh Gardens

Lab on the River at Woodhaugh Gardens where Catchments Otago will have fish in tanks plus our festival freshwater experts Dr Mike Joy and Stella McQueen will be at the lab to answer any questions you may have.

Children attending this event can earn a Kiwi Guardian Wild Dunedin Medal.  At the Lab on the River we  will give you the information on how to claim your medal on www.wilddunedin.nz

We will have copies of the Otago Regional Council's Love Your Leith River Walk self guided map available too.
