Wild Dunedin Festival guest Ruud Kleinpaste leads an educators' workshop at the Otago Museum at 3pm Friday 21st April using nature as a context for education. If you're an education professional – including nature nerds, artists, linguists, historians, economists, or teachers interested in taking new inspiration from nature – this is for you.
Learning and designing from nature is called biomimicry, which can give us new ideas for sustainable living, and encourage young people to make new discoveries in their very own backyards.
Participants will receive resources and practical ideas around pedagogy, outdoor classrooms and nature-time teaching workshops.
Event will be in the Hutton Theatre.
This event is free but numbers are limited so bookings are essential.
