Ice Skating at Tekapo

I was in the bus sitting next to Jack and Ben. We were talking about the scariest dreams we've had and cool guns and stuff. We were on our way to Tekapo to go ice skating and snow tubing. We got to Fairlie and we got to play. Me and Jack played tag, Hugo was in at the start and we went on the big slide, it was blue and tall. It was as high as a tree and the line was extremely big too. When we got to Tekapo we went and rented some ice skates and got going. At first I had to use a skating frame for two minutes and then I got the hang of it. I was as fast as a turtle. I was skating with Jack, Zane and Matteo. When I fell over the ice was harder than I thought. Then I went over to get some food. After that I went into the hot pools, it felt like it was turned on at 39 or 38 degrees. I sat with Issy and talked for a minute and then Alex came over to talk to me for a couple of minutes. After that I got out because my bones felt like Lava. When I got to the changing room I lost my gum boots and a sock. I found them and I got my clothes. On my way back on the bus I sat with Hugo and Ben because Jack went in the car with his dad. When we got back to school mum picked me up and got me and Issy some hot chips and went home in the car.

One Friday morning when I got to school I didn't know where to go because we were going ice skating. Eventually I found out where I was supposed to go. Then we went on the buses. I went in the minivan. It was very very loud. Then we started to get moving. I was so, so, so excited. When we got to Fairlie we did a toilet stop. When we did the toilet stop we got to play because there was a playground. I liked the big blue slide. Then we went again. Then we got there. Everyone was so excited and crowded. At first it was boring because we had to listen to the rules. Then we got on the ice. I said ’’ yay’’. It was so, so , so hard. Then we had lunch. Then we went back on the ice. Then we went back to school.

First in the morning I woke up, got dressed then had my breakfast because we were going on our school trip and I was so excited. After that I hopped in our golden car and went to school. When I got to school there were lots of children there already. Then I walked over to my class. I said “hi” to my friends. My friend Leah told me that the Year four girls were going in the school van with a sliding door. Then we lined up to go. After we had lined up we started walking to the school van in the car park with lots of stones on the ground. When we got to the school van we opened the sliding door then we walked into the school van. Then we were on our way there. We stopped at Fairlie for a toilet stop and a little play. After that we hopped back in the school van and went to the hot pools at Tekapo. When we arrived at the hot pools we hopped out of the school van and walked over to the others who came on the bus. Then we walked up the ramp to the hot pools but first we had to go ice skating in the ice skating rink. After that we put ice skates and helmets on for safety. Then I hopped on the ice and it was the best day ever!

I woke up happy because after nana's I was going to school we are ice skating at Lake Tekapo.

I got a pair of ice skates with a metal blade. I listened to the music as I skated. I used the metal frame but I still kept slipping over. Then I got bored skating. I gave back the helmet and skates. I nearly ate all my lunch. I must have used up lots of energy. there was a little speaker saying “Can the Year Ones please get off the ice” Then it said it again but it wasn't the same it was asking for the Year Twos, then it said can everyone get off the ice please.
