A public viewing of the Alpine Fault line

Public viewing of the Alpine Fault Earthquake video
As part of the AF8 project, Professor Tom Wilson from Canterbury University and his team have produced a video showing the likely consequences of a magnitude 8 earthquake along the South Islands alpine fault.
Come along and see what the effects are likely to be on your family and community, and what you can do now to prepare and reduce the impact.
A few simple steps now will make a big difference.
The event is being hosted by the Selwyn District Council Emergency Management team and the Glentunnel Civil Defence – Community Response team.
The video is 40 minutes long and will be followed by a short presentation from the emergency management staff. There will be time for questions and supper to follow.
Please encourage your neighbours to come along with you.
The evening is free and everyone is welcome.
