We have received the following info from Mt Hutt regarding how the ski programme will run this year.

We would like to hold a quick 10 minute meeting on Thursday 22nd February at 3:45 to discuss these changes, the increased costs and whether we will offer any additional days this year. This will be a good opportunity for parents to be heard and help in the decision making for this programme for 2024. The ski programme is one of the things that makes Windwhistle School unique and we want to do everything we can to support you and your children to enable them to progress  their ski skills during their time at our school.

The following info has been provided by Mt Hutt;

Our innovative 3-day local school programme led by experienced ski or snowboard coaches guarantee fun, fast progression and development to next level.

Our programme caters for skiers and snowboarders from First Timer to High-Performance ability level.

Programme Dates:

• Tuesday 23rd July
• Thursday 25th July
• Tuesday 30th July

Lesson Times:

9am - 11:30am and 12:30pm - 2:30pm

Details:

• Groups will be allocated according to school year and ability level based.
• Our instructors will make group adjustments for each 3-day camp to ensure the best progression and achievement opportunities are based on technical skill, speed, terrain confidence and other factors
• Equipment (skis/snowboard, boots, poles) and helmets are included in the programme if required.
• Weather contingency day: Tuesday 6th of August
• Lift passes are not included in the cost of the programme, participants can purchase a local school season pass here.
• For children aged 5 & under of June 1st 2024, participants are eligible for a free of charge season pass, which can be allocated here.

Terms & Conditions:

• Please notify school@mthutt.co.nz if your child will be absent from any day of the programme, as well as the child's school.
• In the case of sickness no partial refunds are available. If your child is unable to start the programme due to injury, sickness or other reason, within 48 hours' notice a refund will be considered on presentation of a medical certificate.
