Fun In Queenstown on the Luge!

Martha R | Room 2 —

Today we woke up at 6:30am to go to Queenstown.

On our way there we stopped at a cafe for breakfast. I had waffles. They tasted delicious. When we had finished our breakfast Mum had to get some nit treatment and a comb for Emily, Pippa and Alice’s hair. Then we started driving to Queenstown. We watched people zipline and bungee jump off a bridge. One man got his head dipped in the river! Once we had watched them we kept on driving to Queenstown. When we got to Queenstown Dad dropped us off and he went to find a park. We walked up to the bottom of the Skyline Gondola. The line was huge so we walked down to a building where we got tickets and we got to skip the big line. We lined up for about 5 minutes. Then we caught the gondola up to the top of the hill. It was so scary looking back down the hill! When we got to the top we found our way down to the line for the chairlift. We got helmets and then lined up. Once we were on the chairlift and had got to the top we had to run off to the side. Then we lined up to get our tickets stamped. We lined up to get our carts. When we were at the front of the line we got our carts and the man taught us how to steer the cart different directions and to stop. Once we had learn’t how to steer we got to go down the hard concrete track. I passed Pippa as she got stuck! When we got to the last 500 metres of the track there was a black line that we couldn’t cross so that we couldn’t go off the side of
the track! When we got to the end of the track we gave our carts to the man to bring them back up to the top of the hill. We had 3 goes each.

It was so much fun!
