HAERE MAI, NAU MAI
WELCOME TO WINDWHISTLE SCHOOL TE KURA O TE URU MIRO!
Situated in the picturesque rural landscape of Canterbury, our small primary kura caters to learners from Year 0 to Year 6, serving the Windwhistle, Glenroy, and Lake Coleridge areas. Established in 1935, our school holds a rich history, and we are proud to have been a longstanding pillar in the farming community of mid Canterbury.
At Windwhistle School, we take immense pride in offering high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for our students. Our commitment to excellence is mirrored in the range of exceptional resources we provide. From a heated swimming pool to sports equipment, playgrounds, computers, and iPads, we strive to create a dynamic and engaging environment that fosters growth and development.
Our strength lies in our unity. As a close-knit community, we cherish our space and place, as it serves as a nurturing foundation for our personal and collective growth. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to create learning experiences that both engage and challenge our students, empowering them to take ownership of their present and future.
At Windwhistle School Te Kura o Te Uru Miro, we have a vision of growing exceptional learners, cultivating not only their academic abilities but also their character as responsible and compassionate citizens.
Together we learn, grow, thrive!
