Top Team - Year 5 & 6
Our year 5 & 6 students are looking forward to a fun filled day at Glentunnel for this event. Fingers crossed we get a good day weather wise!
Venue: Glentunnel Primary School
Departure: We will aim to depart at soon as the second bus arrives (8:50amish) to arrive at Glentunnel by 9:15am.
Briefing: 9:30am
Students will be split into 28 teams of around 9 - 10 students. Teams will be made up of students from different schools. This will be coordinated by the teacher in charge, Debbie Schnell on the day. Debbie will record a number on each students hand using a vivid. Schools may be required to help Debbie coordinate this.
Event Begins: 9:45am
Gear:
- Students will be provided with a Windwhistle sports top for the day.
- Students are encouraged to bring their togs or a change of clothes and a towel for the event as there are water activities. Students are able to use the Glentunnel changing rooms to get changed.
- Students must wear their school sunhat and we recommend applying sunscreen before leaving home. We will also send along the school sunscreen.
- Please pack a good lunch and water bottle as we have been invited to stay for lunch following the prize-giving.
The activities finish around 11:15 am, followed by a short prize giving. We will stay at Glentunnel School and have morning tea/early lunch and enjoy their lovely surroundings and hospitality before heading home.
Activity Cost: $3 - Windwhistle School will cover the cost of this activity.
Transport Cost: $5 for those needing transport to be reimbursed to drivers.
Transport: We have had a lot of offers of transport for this event. I think it would be best to meet in the library and carpool using the parents who wished to stay for the event as follows:
- Sarah McCarron - 3 seats
- Rebecca Rose - 3 seats
- Wendy Stewart - 3 seats
- Tania Jordan - 6 seats
- Jo Walker - 5 seats
