Kia ora koutou. While skiing is on I will need the childrens Reading Bags to come to school on Fridays as I still test their spelling during our Library time. However, the reading bags will stay at school on Friday and go home with them on Monday. Please be aware, if your child is absent on a Friday, I won't be able to test them so they won't have any words for the following week. On Wednesday the children can continue with Maths Buddy and Sunshine Classics at home! I have a Literacy Leaders meeting on Thursday afternoon so Bronwen will be teaching them that afternoon. Over the next few weeks I will be introducing the children to simple coding so we will be practising which is Left/Right. Any help at home gratefullly received! Ngā mihi. Jane

Hororata Parish Spring Fair Fundraiser

by Windwhistle School

As a fundraiser the idea of growing vege seedlings to sell at the Hororata Parish Spring Fair at Labour weekend in October came up. At this stage we would love any families who are keen to get involved to buy one or two packets of seeds and get them growing somewhere warm at your house.
