Congratulations to Liam on his performance at the speech competition. His amazing speech was on 'Why companies should stop making non-recyclable plastics'. There were 6 other competitors who had also made the finals from other North Canterbury schools - Oxford Area School, Swannanoa, Te Matauru, North Loburn, Rangiora Borough and Clarkville. All the speeches were of a very high standard and the judges said their job was extremely difficult. Liam's speech was very persuasive and meaningful. It was also quite funny in some parts. He was placed 4th equal and received a $20 book voucher. Great job to Liam and we all loved your speech when we heard it at school. Thank you for representing Woodend School so well.
