The IB tree in the foyer has been updated and looks great.

As you may have seen in the office there are two boards on display. These boards which have nothing on them at the moment are going to be transformed into a Whare Manu points chart and information about the Whare Manus, so you can keep up to date with the Whare Manus!

The other board will be an Achievement board so if you or anyone you know at Woodend School has any achievements make sure you tell someone from the Student Leadership Team!  as we will write up a small paragraph and have your picture which will  be put up on display at the office!

Over the past few weeks the Whare Manu groups have been working very hard to try get as many points as possible to win!

At the moment in Te Maunga the winning group is Kereru.

In Te Ngahere in first place is Kotare.

In Te Awa the winning group is Tauhou .

And in Te Hapua the winner is Tui.

Remember we are only half way through the term Make sure to keep up the amazing work and try and get as many points as possible!

Lately some school children have been riding their scooters but they are not wearing their helmets and riding before and after school, which could potentially endanger other students and parents walking through and they could also injure themselves. Also, riding others peoples' scooters is not allowed as you could break or damage their scooter and scooters aren’t cheap!  If the Teacher catches  you riding your scooter in the non appropriate times (Between 8:30 and 9am and 3 - 3:30pm.) you will get your scooter taken off you and have to collect it at the end of the day and will not be able to bring it the next day. Keep an eye out for Senior Students and Teachers giving out points and tickets to those students who are walking their scooters!
