Sir Peter Blake Leadership Award and Applications for 2018 Student Leaders. 

In Week Eight we had the Sir Peter Blake Trust come in and tell us a bit about him, like with his lucky red socks every time he had them on New Zealand won the Americas cup. They also gave out an award, last year Ella Spark won this award and this year the award went to Lilly Burbury -  so well done Lilly you deserved it. Lilly is an amazing Leader in our school. She is always willing to help anyone in need. She shows amazing leadership skills and we can’t wait to see how much she grows as a leader. She also got a medal, some red socks, and a certificate. Everyone is super proud of you Lilly, well done and congratulations Lilly.

Since we are coming to the end of Term 3  we are starting the application process for 2018’s Student Leaders. This years students leaders have presented a video a couple of weeks ago saying that applications were officially open. Now that we are in Week 10 they are now closed. All applications have been handed in and will be presented on the 28th of September in front of Te Maunga, Te Ngahere, the Student Leaders, Mr Barber, Mrs Simpson and the teachers.  Next term we will be holding interviews for all applicants. There will be more information coming soon to do with the interviews. We can’t wait to hear all the applications and good luck to everyone applying. Thank you.
