How long have you worked at Woodend School and what team are you in now/2023?

I have worked at Woodend School since the turn of the century (roughly 25 years) and I am currently in every team. I have had 4 different principals in my time at Woodend. I have worked in every area of the school and have seen ex students of Woodend School starting their own children back at our kura.

What are 3 things you like to do outside of school?

3 things I like to do outside of school are spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading and knitting.

What is your favourite part of being a teacher?

My favourite part of being a teacher is seeing the children learn and grow. As well as seeing the children developing learning and friendship. I also love working with students who find learning a challenge.

What are some of your favorites (colour, food etc)?

Janice loves her cat named Misty.

She likes red and green

My favourite food is Thai

She likes to Travel between Melbourne and Wanaka because that's where her son and grandchildren live.
