Te Awa Newsletter
Week 4 Term 1
Week 3 has come to an end, and fortunately so has BP and TL pakeke time in Poaka. We are all so excited to all be together in the same building.
Week 4 brings the beginning of our learning rotations. We are all looking forward to working alongside other children in our learning groups. Some children may find this more challenging than others to begin with as they adjust to transitioning between different teachers.
Stars of the Week. Our Te Awa stars of the week have made an outstanding effort once again. They all showed their Woodend School IB's and have been noticed doing the right thing by all of the teachers.
Wheels. Another wee reminder about Te Awa children and scooters, skates and other wheeled footwear. Children can ride their scooters at break times on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Skates and other wheels can be used on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both scooters and skates can be used at Te Awa time on Friday afternoon.
We have noticed a few children starting to wear wheeled sneakers to school. Whilst they are perfect to use at break times and Te Awa time please can you encourage your child to bring other shoes for fitness and class time.
Masks. As year 4s and upwards are required to wear masks when inside, please ensure that your child is wearing a mask when at school unless they have an exemption. Perhaps a spare mask in their bag could be useful, as some masks seem to disappear throughout the day and go to the same place as school hats, never to be seen again.
Once again, have a great week. If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
Louise, Emma, Terence and Brooke.
