Congratulations to Joss and Hayley on the amazing artwork that they have been working on. Thank you so much to the parents who have worked with them, encouraged and provided some of the materials.

Our class was given a task to create a poster/artwork that represented our school. Our posters were judged and the winner selected. The design chosen included an important part of our school culture being Whare Manu houses (Native New Zealand birds) Tui (black), Weka (red), Kotare (blue), Kereru (White), Tauhou (green), and Korimako (yellow). It also included our school tree representing the Intelligent Behaviours and values we strive for.

Over a period of 4 weeks, Joss and Hayley prepped the wall, selected the colour paints from Resene and with parents supervising spent most mornings painting the design onto the wall.

Our favourite part of the project was being able to do the painting and pull the piece together, the process was hard but definitely worth it.

We are proud to leaves legacy at Woodend School for the future generations of students.

Thank you to Keep New Zealand (Wall Worthy) and Resene for making this project possible.
