Some of Te Ngahere have been making some music

Some of Te Ngahere had a go at creating their own music. 

The students were tasked with creating an 8 beat pattern within their group. Everyone could do something different, so long as it was 8 beats long and they had to repeat it 4 times. They would perform it at the end of the lesson. 

The teams worked really well together and all concentrated hard on their part to make the whole piece sound really cool. 

Some things they found tricky were keeping count and not going too fast! 

We learnt what some of the percussion instruments are called and had a great time. It was lots of fun!
