Sneaky the Cat Mufti Day and Cantamaths
By Brooke, Romah, Mya and Jack
Recently Kowhai have made friends with a Stray Cat, which they have re-named: Sneaky. All of Kowhai have decided that they would love to keep Sneaky and help him stay healthy and happy with some of their love.
But to do this we need to fundraise!
So on Thursday 18th August we will be holding a Mufti Day to provide funds for Sneaky's health and wellbeing, the donations we get will go towards, Sneaky's surgery, food, and things to keep him happy! A donation of cat food would also be much appreciated.
To participate in this mufti day you will have to come dressed as a cat to support sneaky!
On Tuesday 9th August 8 of our brainiest students participated in the North Canterbury Cantamaths. Representing our school for the Year 8's were: Milla W-S, Jack C, Mya S, and Jennifer R. Representing in the Year 7 Team: Cleo K, Levi C, Caitlin C, and Finn J.
Both teams did extremely well and happily the Year 8's placed an amazing 3rd place!!
As being a first experience for the Year 7's they did an amazing job placing 7th!!
We are all extremely proud of how both teams went, and are looking forward to seeing how The Cantamaths Teams go at the Canterbury Competition.
