Two casual vacancies have occurred on the board of trustees for elected parent representatives.

The board has resolved under section 105 of the Education Act 1989 to fill the vacancies by selection.

If 10% or more of eligible voters on the school roll ask the board, within 28 days of this notice being published, to hold a by-election to fill the vacancies, then a by-election will be held.

Any eligible voter who wishes to ask the board to hold a by-election should write to:

The board also wishes to thank the parent community for their support to the school over the year, which is witnessed in so many ways - the parent helpers on trips, camps, helping with road patrol, sausage sizzle roster parents, WSSPA members etc - all supporting your children and school.  It makes for an amazing school atmosphere and learning platform for the students. 

A huge thank you and pat on the back must also go to Graeme as Principal, the Leadership team and all staff members at Woodend.   We do acknowledge the commitment to learning and all other areas.  Each and every one of you makes the school a better place to be in.
