JUNIOR ATHLETICS DAY!

Abbey Taylor —

WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER (WEEK8)

To Parents/Caregivers,

JUNIOR ATHLETICS DAY IS NEARLY HERE!!

When: Wednesday 4th December (week 8)

Time: 10.45am - 12:30pm (Te Awa will continue with their day until 2.45pm for games)

Where: Woodend Rec

Postponement date: Thursday 5th December (Week 8)

Children will travel around each station in their Whare Manu groups. They will have 15 minutes at each station. When the bell rings they will move on to the next activity. The first part of the day will include 6 rotations and will be based on Athletic activities such as; long jump, high jump, shot put, running, discuss and hurdles. Then after lunch, Te Awa will rotate around stations again but this time will be competing in fun games.

We are in need of helpers to make this event happen. As a helper you will be placed at a station or will be guiding children to make sure they reach their next station. The jobs we need help with are not difficult but are essential to ensuring the day runs smoothly. There will be a teacher overseeing each event and you will be there to support.
