At our Board of Trustees meeting last night, Adrienne Simpson tabled her resignation from her role of principalship at Woodend School.

Although we regret that she has handed in her resignation as she intends to retire, we are happy for her and her decision to spend more time with her family. Adrienne has spent 24 years at Woodend School in various roles. Throughout this time she has dedicated her time and skills. Her empathetic and caring nature has enabled staff and students to work together to enable the best outcome for all. She leaves the school in a very good place, ready and secure for change. We will miss her gentle but firm and caring leadership across the school. Adrienne will be leaving at the end of Term 3, so as to give time to have a full appointment process finalised and ready for the new person to start in Term 4.
