Rhythstix drum School

First established in 1998, now located in North Canterbury.

With an extensive 40 year back ground in Drumming and performing in all styles of music,

numerous bands and many high profile musicians, I have gained a wealth of experience to draw from to teach this very rewarding and fun instrument.

You will learn Drum Rudiments, Rock, Funk, Blues, Jazz and Latin rhythms just to name a few.

I encourage and focus on developing my students OWN natural style and feel, in a relaxed, fun and well equipped Drum studio.

I invite Drum Students of all ages to come and study at Rhythmstix.

Lessons consist of :

*Correct Grip / Hand foot movement

*Rudiments on single drum and around kit

*Basic to advanced Rhythms, Techniques and styles

*Reading and Transcribing drum charts

*General Musicianship

*Working with bands and the music industry

*Drum kit set-up

*Electronics and Hybrid kit construction.
