News regarding Sport and PE around Woodend School.

Yesterday Wyatt Crockett came to school to take the Year 7/8 Winter Tournament Rugby team for a training. The team worked on their line out, tackling and and scrummaging skills with the All Black. They were all excited for the opportunity. Thanks Mrs Neylon for organising this and Wyatt Crockett for coming out and sharing your knowledge. It was an awesome surprise.

This week is Rimu's Winter Tournament. We are very excited and fingers crossed for good weather. Especially after 3 different postponement dates now!

Also, Basketball starts this term and we need all the permission slips back to Mrs Neylon or Miss Fong as soon as possible.

Speaking of Basketball we have a few stars that have recently made rep sides. Tyler.G and Flynn.C from Matai both made the CBA Junior All Stars Year 5/6 Boys team. From Rimu, Ty.G made the Year 7/8 Boys team and Tyla.S made the Year 7/8 Girls Team. Tyla then went on to make the Under 13 North Canterbury Girls A Basketball Side! 

Harry.A from Rimu is also representing North Canterbury in the U12 Rugby Team. We wish him all the best over the next few weeks against Ellesmere.
