Year 7/8 Boys Cricket 2019

Caitlin Loose —

Hi there Jack Bangma and Archie Leggett here and we are talking about our cricket journey in 2019.

Our first game was against Springston and we bowled first and got them out for 86. We went on to chase down their total with only four batsmen batting, Archie with 32, Jack with 22, Seb with 1, Elliot with 12 and with 19 extras we won!

Our next game was against Amuri. We batted first and got 156 runs which was awesome. Jack and Seb were the first two batsmen getting 65 runs together. Jack got 36 and Seb got 29. Archie then got a big fat 3. Elliot got 24 which put us up to 95 with our first four batsmen. Our other batsmen all got under 10 but batted extremely well. Our bowling attack went very well getting their batting attack out for 54, and we won!

Our last game was against Loburn Cricket Club where we unfortunately lost but played very well. We bowled first and got their batting attack out for 64! Our batting went down hill and our top five batsmen all got under 20 and got bowled out for 40!

I'd like to say a big thanks to Paul Bangma and Nic Leggett for coaching, we couldn’t have done it without you. Archie and I would like to thank the boys who represented us in the Woodend School Cricket Team, Jack Bangma (Co-Captain), Archie Leggett (Co-Captain), Seb De Bono, Elliot Hallmark, Michael Cowper, Lachy Leech, Bailey Sinclair, Dylan Ball, Lukas McDonald, Mathis Hales, Joel Harris and Sean Cresswell Thank you for reading.
