Some Highlights from Term 3 - Our school camp, and debating.

Camp

Te Ngahere Living Springs 2023 nonzeroenfilade

What an excellent time we had on camp at Living Springs! The weather was ideal, and our kids really represented Woodend well.

A big thank you to all parents and caregivers involved in getting us there and back, and to our parents who joined us for the duration.

An extra special thank you to Chrystal and Kennards Hire who were critical in getting all our bags there and back.

Debating

Debate Highlights Caitlin Loose

The literacy group Maggie have been working hard all term, understanding what a debate is, the parts of it, and then getting to research and form their own debate in teams. The moot they were given was 'celebrities and athletes deserve more money than the average person'. The debate was presented to all of Te Ngahere in week 10, and the teachers were judges, scoring the students on their matter and manner. The Negative team took the win, and the leader of the Negative team, Harley, took out best speaker, with a perfect 100/100. Well done to both teams for all their hard work, research, and dedication to their debate.
