Kia ora ki tē whanau,

Here are some updates with what we've been up to, and what we have coming up.

Living Springs Camp September 13-15

Final Cost of the Camp

We have confirmed the final cost of the camp will be $150 with the school donations scheme. This is a fantastic price for our students. This can be paid to the office via internet banking, or contact p.price@woodend.school.nz regarding a payment plan.

Parents assisting on camp.

We have had an overwhelming response with parents offering to come to camp. We will finalise these by the end of the term.

Swimming

We begin swimming tomorrow. Students will need to bring their togs. Students who do not bring their swimming gear will be provided for with another team while we are out.

Korfball tournament

A few Te Ngahere students will be heading to a Korfball tournament at Mainpower Stadium on Tuesday 27th June with Miss Loose. Please check your HERO as we are still waiting for several digital permission slips. We still need support with transportation, please email Caitlin if you can help.

Canterbury Cross-country

Good luck to the Te Ngahere runners heading to Nga Puna Wai on Wednesday 21st June. We hope you enjoy this awesome opportunity.

Jump Jam

Our year 5/6 team went to Tuahiwi Preschool on Friday 16th June. We had so much fun presenting our routine to the children, and watching their awesome Matariki items. Thank you to the parents who came along, and Emma and her team at the preschool.

Fractions

We've been working on consolidating our fraction terminology. Our students have been having some rigorous  practice around greater than >  less than < or equal +

See if your child can solve any of these levelled questions.
