Welcome back to term 3!
Nearly two thirds of the way through Winter. We hope you've had a great break and we look forward to seeing our kids again on Monday
We welcome back Mr Langlands into Te Ngahere after his surgery recovery. Te Ngahere has missed him, but his pakeke has been in great hands with Miss Ford who we now farewell to join Te Kete in the new entrants year.
What an excellent time we had at swimming. The two-week programme showed massive gains in confidence and skill for our swimmers, essential water skills, and a bit of free swimming as well.
Miss Loose held her annual debate for her Maggie Literacy group. There were some very persuasive arguments, and her students made us proud with the amount of research, maturity, courage, and confidence they showed while delivering their debate on whether 'Technology is harmful or helpful.'
After our classroom challenge, we had some students represent our school in the Inter Schools Challenge at Kaiapoi North. Mr Langlands took a team to participate in the difficult challenge where are students competed under pressure to complete S.T.E.M tasks.
Our Choir made us proud at the Annual North Canterbury Choir Festival. Our item we performed was Brooke Fraser's 'something in the water'. We look forward to learning some new songs to perform at assemblies later in the term.
