Te Kura Tuatahi O Pakiaka Woodend School

Woodend School - 24th November 2022 # Issue 21

Kia ora koutou e te whānau,

It has been a busy end to Week 6. Congratulations to our Jump Jam teams who competed in Tauranga. We are really proud of the hard work, time and effort these girls put into their training which includes weekends, morning teas and lunches.

Also a massive thank you to all our sponsors and parents for making the trip possible and to our wonderful school staff (Caitlin Loose, Pip Haigh, Hannah Lumsden & Lucy French) for the many hours of organisation and support behind the scenes.

Whare Manu Day

It was an outstanding Whare Manu Day last week, what I really enjoyed was watching our students working together in their Whare Manu groups, our seniors help and modelling to our juniors. It was great seeing all the smiles as students completed the inflatarun course.

Covid-19

We have seen a slight increase in Covid cases across the school during the last two weeks. Please keep an eye out for any symptoms in your child/ren.

Staffing Update

Congratulations to Logan Moore and India Graham, who have been appointed to permanent teaching positions in 2023. In the next newsletter I will be able to confirm all our teaching, admin and support staff for 2023.

Kia pai tō rā
