Introducing some of our Student Leaders- Leah

Leah Barnett

Hi everyone, my name is Leah and I am one of the student leaders in 2025.

Some cool things about me are that I love to play Netball, Basketball and Ice Hockey. I also like Dance and Skiing. My parents are from North Loburn and Tekapo but I was born in Rangiora. I am in the Kotare Whare Manu group. My favourite colours are navy blue and light pink. My birthday is the 23rd of August,

My favourite animal is dogs and my favourite food is teriyaki chicken and rice. I love to hang out with my friends and family.

I started Woodend School in year 3 and I have loved being here ever since. I love taking part in lots of activities and I enjoy learning new things. Becoming a student leader was one of the best decisions I have made and I love my role on the team. I love working with the students and love it when I am busy doing work or helping out. 

I am really excited to get to know everyone better and be more involved in the school community. I am hoping for a great year ahead and lots of fun and excitement to come.
