Click here to find out more on what the student leaders went to on Thursday!!!
Last week on Thursday the Student Leaders embarked on a journey to the annual National Young Leaders Day at Horncastle arena.
Every year NYLD takes a team of inspiring New Zealanders on the road for a month, holding eight large-scale events across the country for young people in Years 5-8. Through real-life stories told by the people who live them, NYLD aims to inspire the leadership potential in every young person.
We listened to a variety of great speakers, here they are
-Ronnie Taulafo from What Now
-Kings(Kingdon Chapple-Wilson) The Pop Artist
-Dr Lehan Stemmet, a leadership adviser
-Sala Tiatia, survivor competitor(South Island Only)
-Christian Gallen from the attitude team
Overall it was an amazing opportunity, and we learnt a lot. One thing was this motto - He Aha Te Kai A Te Rangatira? He Korero, He Korero, He Korero, What is the food of a leader? It's a Conversation.
We learnt that conversation can get you the job you want, get you to the place you want to be but most importantly conversation can make you grow as a person and feel connected to others.
Thank you, Your Head Students Lachlan And Paris.
