Paula Wine —

It's that time of the year when we reflect on the year and celebrate our students' achievements. We are looking forward to our end-of-year Achievement Awards and our Year 6 Leavers' celebration. Some children will receive special awards, which is really special. For the children who don't receive awards, there is much to celebrate in their final reports.

I am in the process of reading each child's final report and I am just so proud of our learners. Our students have made wonderful gains in their learning this year. Their growth in other areas such as our values is just so exciting to see. Well done to every single Woodstocker!!! We are proud of you!

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the amazing work our teachers and support staff do to nurture our students to be the best they can be. Our staff work exceptionally hard to make school a safe and happy place, where maximum learning can happen every single day. Thank you to our staff.

I would also like to say a special thanks to our PTA and our BOT.

Our PTA has worked tirelessly this year to organise events such as the Gala, Pizza Friday, and pie fundraisers, etc., all in order to support projects that make our school the best it can be. Thank you Aimee James and the PTA!

Our BOT meets twice a term and is comprised of committed, hardworking members who are responsible for the governance of our school. We are so fortunate to have such supportive and capable Board members who, through their many hours of work, help us achieve our vision and strategic goals. Thank you Jo Park, Anne Marie Guiney, Craig Blomfield, Saara Abdulrahman, Miko Brouwer, Janeen Foote (BOT secretary) and Dave McHugh (staff representative).

Congratulations to all of our students who travelled to Cluster Athletics yesterday and represented Woodstock with Mana (see results further down). Good luck to all of the children who will participate in the Weetbix Kids TRYathlon this Sunday. We are proud of you for giving it a go.

The rest of the year will race by in a blur of end of year events. I hope you are all taking time to enjoy each special milestone; it goes all goes by so quickly.

Ngā mihi,

Paula
