Next Friday is World Car Free Day 22nd September. This is a great opportunity to promote active and sustainable modes of transport. 

Go car free for a chance to win family passes to Hamilton Zoo

Did you know that 18% of all car trips in Hamilton are less than 2km? That's more than 73,000 trips a day! Hamilton City Council wants to encourage you and your whānau to walk, cycle or catch the bus on World Car Free Day - 22 September. Their goal is to reduce cars trips by 1% on this day. That’s 4000 less car trips!

To enter the competition to win one of three family passes to Hamilton Zoo, snap a photo of you and your whānau travelling car free on World Car Free Day (22 September) and post it on Council’s World Car Free Day Facebook event page between 22 – 25 September 2023. Winners will be drawn on 26 September 2023.
