Yaldhurst School Tōtara Tūkaha - Board News
Landscaping works scheduled to begin this week!
Kia ora koutou,
With so many changes happening at our school, the Board would like to make sure our school community has all the information about what is happening. For the next few newsletters, I will cover topics that might be of interest to you all.
While the rebuild has been completed, the last job on the list is the landscaping, which will start later this week. You may notice some fencing going up across the front lawn, because for the rest of the term, students and caregivers will need to enter the school from the carpark driveway gate, across the grass, through the office vestibule, and into the school grounds.
This will allow the landscaping team to start widening our current walkway entrance, lay new pathways, and edge the new garden spaces. Most of the work will be completed over the next three weeks, with the final touches happening in the school holidays when no students are around.
The school will then be responsible for the new plantings which will get underway in term three. This may require some support of our more green-thumbed whānau to help, so let us know if this sounds of interest to you.
We do want to give a massive thank-you to everyone in our school community, as you have adapted so well to the many changes and we are very close to the end of the disruption.
Noho ora mai,
Jessica Middleton
Board Presiding Member
